Like many creators entering self-publishing, she was drawn in by the promise of independence.
She works an admin job and, like many aspiring creators, started looking for something that could give her more freedom over her time, location, schedule, and her future.
A Better Life, Built Step by Step
When she first started exploring KDP, the motivation was clear. She was searching for a way to create a different kind of life. She wanted:
- The freedom to work her own hours
- The chance to be her own boss
- The ability to choose her location
- A more flexible life outside the 9 to 5
That vision led her into courses, YouTube tutorials, and long hours of learning after work. But she quickly discovered something many creators don't expect at the beginning.
"To be honest, it's not as easy as it seems."
But still, she kept going.
"I Always Struggled with the Images and the Consistency"
She had already invested time into learning the KDP ecosystem, following multiple creators and testing different approaches. One of them, Romney Nelson, introduced something new: the Neolemon app.
"He's talking about this tool. That's a perfect tool for something that I have in mind."
After trying it herself, she immediately saw the potential. She already had ideas. What she didn't have was a reliable way to turn them into visuals.
She had tried around twenty tools in total, but none of them gave her the results she needed. That's what made Neolemon stand out.
"Neolemon is a perfect tool I have found after doing courses on KDP."
What immediately clicked for her was not just the output, but the flexibility. The variety of styles and the quality of the images gave her the confidence to move forward with her project. For someone without a design background, that made all the difference.
"So far it's amazing, the options that you have."
She didn't come into this with creative experience. Everything she knows, she has learned step by step through YouTube videos, courses, and hands-on experimentation. That's what makes her journey so relatable.

Turning an Idea into a Book
Her first completed book introduces a unique and memorable character: Axo, a one-of-a-kind axolotl who speaks directly to children as a friend.
But this is not just a story. It's an experience.
Through Axo, young readers are invited into a fascinating world of discovery, where they learn incredible facts about axolotls. The book blends science with storytelling in a way that feels exciting, playful, and easy to follow. Through Axo's story, children are also gently introduced to meaningful ideas, like caring for the planet and understanding the role they play in protecting it.
It's a learning journey designed to spark curiosity, build awareness, and keep children coming back for more.

A coloring book version featuring the same character is coming soon.
A Path That Is Not Easy, But Worth It
She is still working. Still balancing responsibilities. Still figuring things out along the way.
But she has started creating space for something more. That extra time is not just time off — it's time invested into building a future of her own.
Her journey is a reminder that progress doesn't come from perfect conditions.
You don't need everything figured out.
You don't need the perfect moment.
You just need to start. And keep going.
Ready to Start Your Own Story?
This journey shows what becomes possible when someone decides to build something for themselves, even while working a 9 to 5. She found the tools. She created her first book.
If her story resonates with you — maybe you're looking for the same thing: more freedom, more creativity, more ownership of your time.
