Editor Pro: Edit Any Image with Plain Instructions

Editor Pro lets you change any image by describing the change in plain words: add a hat, swap the sky, move your character to a new place. This guide shows you where to find it, how to write a change request, and how to chain edits so your character and background stay consistent across a whole story.

A complete guide to editing images with plain instructions using Editor Pro

What Is Editor Pro?

Editor Pro changes an image the way you ask, and leaves everything else as it was. Upload any image or pick one you generated, describe the change in words, press Generate, and you get a new version with only that change made.
Works with: Characters you made in Neolemon, scenes from Story Scene Pro and Multi Character Pro, your own drawings and illustrations.
Why it matters: The specific editors each change one thing (a pose, an expression, an outfit, a background). Editor Pro covers everything else: an added prop, a new sky, a different time of day, a character moved to a new place, two changes at once. It is also the tool that keeps a whole scene consistent from page to page, because every result can become the reference for the next edit.
Each generation costs 4 credits.

Three Ways to Open Editor Pro

  1. From the sidebar. Editor Pro sits under Create, right below Character Turbo.
  1. From Create New Cartoon. On your Home dashboard, click Create New Cartoon and choose Use my own image. This is the route for a drawing, a scan or an illustration made outside Neolemon.
  1. From any image you generated. Hover over the image and press the orange Editor Pro button. The image loads as the reference straight away. After your very first character, the app also shows a Next Step: Use Editor Pro card to point you here.

Step by Step: Making an Edit with Editor Pro

Step 1: Pick the reference

Under Reference Cartoon, upload the image you want to edit (PNG, JPG or WEBP, up to 10 MB), or click an image you pinned earlier. If you opened Editor Pro from an image, it is already in place.
Use cartoon and illustration images only. Photorealistic references are not allowed under the content policy; for a real photo, use Photo to Cartoon first and edit the result.

Step 2: Describe the change

Type what should be different in the Describe the change field. One clear change works best:
Add a red hat
Change the sky to sunset
Put her on a sandy beach holding a kite
Make the lamp glow and darken the room
Describe the result you want, not the thing you want gone. "A clear blue sky" works better than "no clouds".

Step 3: Leave AI Improve on, or switch it off

AI Improve is the toggle under the field, on by default. When you press Generate it rewrites your request into a precise edit instruction, using the image for context, and replaces your text with the improved version so you can see what was used. Switch it off if you want your words used exactly as typed. It works in any language.

Step 4: Generate

Press Generate. The new version appears on the right next to your earlier results. Switch between Single, Grid and Favourites views at the top.
On the image you will find Reuse Prompt (top left) and, top right, the icons to favourite, pin, upscale, make the background transparent, download or delete. The orange buttons open the next edit with this image already loaded: Editor Pro, Edit Action, Edit Expression, Edit Outfit, Background, Erase, Reframe and Edit Perspective.

The Chaining Trick: Consistent Characters and Consistent Backgrounds

This is the habit that makes Editor Pro worth learning. Every result can be the reference for the next change, so a story scene can grow one step at a time without the character or the setting drifting.
  1. Start from your anchor image (a full body front view on a plain white background) and describe the first scene: the action and the place. Generate.
  1. Press Editor Pro on the result and describe only the next change: a new action, a new prop, a different expression. The character and the background carry over.
  1. Keep going until you have every page that happens in that setting.
  1. When the story moves to a new place, go back to the anchor image and start a fresh chain. Building a new place on top of an old one tends to leave traces of the first scene behind.
Two rules keep chains clean: one change per generation, and short requests. If a result goes wrong, do not try to fix it with a second edit. Go back one step and generate again.

Pin an Image as a Reference

The pin icon on any image keeps it in your reference picker, so you can come back to it from Editor Pro or any other editor without searching your dashboard. Pin your anchor image and any scene you expect to return to.

The specific editors are the safer choice when they fit, because they are built to touch one thing and nothing else. Editor Pro is the flexible one.

Writing a Good Change Request

✅ One change at a time: Add a blue scarf
✅ Say what you want, not what you don't: A clear blue sky instead of remove the clouds
✅ Name the thing and where it goes: A small brown dog sitting at her feet
✅ Keep it short. AI Improve turns a plain request into a precise instruction, so you do not need to write like a prompt engineer.
❌ Avoid stacking changes: Add a hat, change the sky, move him to a park and make him laugh usually loses one of them. Do them one by one.

FAQ

Will Editor Pro change my character's face?
Not when you ask for something else. It edits what you describe and keeps the rest, which is what makes it safe for a whole book. If you do see drift after several chained edits, go back to the anchor image and restart the chain.
Can I edit my own drawing or an illustration made elsewhere?
Yes. Open Editor Pro from Create New Cartoon with Use my own image, or upload under Reference Cartoon. Our guide on turning a kid's drawing into a storybook character walks through exactly that.
Can I edit a scene with several characters?
Yes. Scenes made in Story Scene Pro or Multi Character Pro can be sent straight to Editor Pro, and every character in the scene stays recognisable while the requested change is made.
Why did something else change too?
Usually the request asked for more than one thing, or the image had already been edited many times. Ask for a single change, keep the wording short, and chain from a clean result.
What does it cost?
Each generation costs 4 credits, the same as every other generator and editor.
